What reaches us

Most of what we hold comes straight from you. Fill in the online form and we get the details you enter, which can include your name, phone number, e-mail, the job address or ZIP code (where the form has room) and what the work involves. Phone or write to us and we get the content of that conversation, plus any pictures or files you attach. A little server data is collected too: our hosting provider logs each visit’s IP address and browser, plus the page asked for and the time, to protect the site and keep it available.

Chat messages

Using the chat creates a record. It holds:

• your messages, including any name, phone or e-mail you give and what the job is
• the page where the chat was started and the website that linked you to this website
• an approximate location, worked out from your internet address
• which device and browser you have
• a random code saved in your browser, which keeps your chats on haisleygatesdoors.com apart from other people’s

Replies may come from an automated assistant; the service providers behind the chat read your messages to prepare them. The record is kept to answer you, to arrange the work you ask about and to improve the chat.

About cookies

Cookies and statistics, briefly:

• no cookies for advertising or for analytics;
• possibly one strictly necessary security cookie from the hosting provider;
• visit counts kept by the host without cookies, as anonymous page-view totals.

How we use information

Your details let us reply to you, schedule and do the job, and follow up with you about it afterwards. We also use them for our records, for keeping the site safe and for meeting the requirements the law places on us.

Who receives information

The providers that run haisleygatesdoors.com, our e-mail and our request handling can access information as part of their service. So can service partners who help deal with your request or perform the work. We may disclose information as well when the law requires it or when that’s needed to protect rights and safety.

Your opt-out right

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as the request, the job, normal business record keeping and legal obligations require, and delete them once that time has passed.

How we protect it

We take reasonable precautions with the information we hold. We can’t promise that it will always be safe, because every system carries some risk.

Not for children

We don’t direct the website to children under 13 and don’t knowingly collect a child’s information.

When this page changes

If anything here changes, the new text replaces this one and shows a new date at the top.
